Young Life College at Grand Canyon University

OUR STORY

In September 2015, Ryan and Amy Buskirk and their three sons moved from Tacoma, WA to Phoenix, AZ to start GCU Young Life. The intent was to reach college students with the good news of Jesus, build them up in their faith, and launch them into the surrounding community. Knowing only one student at that point, they began showing up on campus to serve, meeting with students, and praying for divine encounters. Over the course of the last nine years, with the addition of gifted staff (Sarah in 2018, Jade and Ashley in 2021, Laney and Lauren in 2024), and generous volunteers, Young Life College at GCU has grown to have current impact on 500 students weekly. We have seen countless students developed into passionate disciples of Jesus and sent all over the world to reproduce and multiply disciples in their own spheres of work, ministry, recreation, community, and family.
